Artists!

Artists
Games Artist –
David Hego is the artist that I chose to look into for the games artist because I Like all the effort that he puts into doing his work. The main game I know him for designing is the Batman game. I think that it is good that he did it from different peoples points of view so nicely. An example is when Catwoman is the main character and she has different movements and skills because of her body type.

Catwoman Is more bendy and her clothes allow for more movement than Batman’s does. Also all of her weapons (whip/bolas) move with her when she is in motion and that’s a bit of added detail that makes the game smoother.

I also like the scene artistry that has been done, because it shows all the little details that you might not always look for, the example for this is Harley Quinn’s Pregnancy test in the Steel Mill with the positive sign on it, doing some sneaky foreshadowing for the gamer that looks for the little details.

The thing that I don’t like about the game is the resolution problems that I had with the game on my computer, and that it had to be so low that the picture looked horrid but I could effectively use the game.
When playing you want to be able to see your enemy coming not get lost in the bad graphics/resolution.

Watercolour Artist –

Molly Brill is a watercolour artist that probably isn't that well known, but I like the effect that she can get with paint.

I like the way the effect is patchy but otherwise the image still looks realistic. All the colours merge or drip but you can see a clear distinction. In this picture I like the vibrant blue eyes that standout from the page and against the other colours that are in the painting.

The bold blues are what drew me to this painting of Molly Brill.  The feeling of this is a little less realistic than the other. However the colour combinations go nicely in this and it all pretty much links together more fluidly.

What I don’t like about her work is the fact that I would be hard to imitate. Because I won’t always see the brush marks the way that she will.
